Hello there. Today I saw Frozen 2, the sequel of, well, Frozen. It"s nowhere near a surprise that this movie exists, considering how successful the first film was (if someone plays Let it Go again I am going to scream. I wanted to release one last review before the 2020"s, so I"m going to review Frozen 2. This is all just my opinion and you may think differently than I do. If so, that"s fine. With that said, let"s start with the visuals.
The Visuals
The animation is just as good as the animation in the original movie. There"s lots of detail in the animation. However, the backgrounds themselves are just astounding. Especially the water. I also think that some of the things Olaf did were funny. Some interesting things happen involving ice in this movie. Ice ghosts? That"s a new one. I really liked the scene where Elsa rode the ice horse, it"s something I"ve never seen before in a movie.
Visuals: 10/10
The Story
The story is probably the worst thing about this movie. I found it really hard to follow, and I was just confused when I watched it. I liked the Avatar-esque element of the story and I liked the theme of the importance of change. This movie seems to be diving into more mature topics and it deals with them well. When Olaf died I felt really sad, because I like Olaf. There were some other scenes that were quite sad. However, this movie just really feels like it"s trying to make up with the storyline that"s hard to follow with amazing visuals. Overall, the story is pretty convoluted but it has a nice message and it really has some emotional moments.

The Songs
Now, I"m not the person who reviews songs, so I apologize if this part of the post is mediocre. The songs are really epic combined with the great visuals. I personally prefer Into the Unknown over Let it Go any day. Into The Unknown"s lyrics just feel inspirational to me. However, the songs just feel random and they start with no explanation as to why.

Overall
Personally, I feel like Frozen 2 was a pretty good sequel. The visuals were astounding, there were some good visual jokes with Olaf, and there were some emotional moments as well. The story was quite convoluted, but there were some good themes and I found the story interesting, even if it was hard to follow. The songs were pretty epic as well, but they just feel random.

Are we not going to point out when Kristoff said “You get this for 1 hour” and then Olaf said “I didnt know you could last an hour”. Yesss! Now all we need is when I am older, lost in the woods, and the next right thing. This makes me think of my relationship with my older sister. When I was very little she was very nice to me, but as we got older that started to change. She"d "freeze" me out like that all the time, mainly because she was much older than me. At the same time, we were only half siblings and she didn"t get along with my dad very well, even though he was always as nice as could be to her. Then one day, she was gone. She had a big fight with my parents and went to live with my grandmother across town. That was 27 years ago, and as sad as it is, I have not seen her more than a half-dozen times since then. I never did understand what made her act like that, nor did my parents. It wasn"t until I was in high school we learned the truth; she had bipolar disorder. However, as far as I know she"s never sought treatment for it, and as a result, with the exception of my late grandmother) she"s basically managed to alienate every single person in her life. It makes me sad to think I have a sister out there, and I don"t even know where she lives! Unfortunately, having a sibling struggling with a problem like mental illness is very much like the struggle Anna and Elsa go through in "Frozen. As desperate as Anna was to help her sister and support her as best she could, in the end it was all up to Elsa to change for the better. What really made the difference was having people in her life who understood what to do to help her. With my sister, my grandmother was the only person in our family who knew what to do, as not only was she a nurse, she"d had experience in dealing with this before, as I have an aunt who struggled with a similar form of the disorder. Sadly, my grandmother passed away 5 years ago, and nobody in my family has heard from my sister since then. I love how Disney movies have changed to emulate these problems people face in real life in such a fluid manner, meaning these stories can be applied to just about anything.

I enjoyed the movie when I first watch it with my friends and went for another 2 times because I couldn"t resist it. I love Disney movies especially this movie. Thanks Disney and hope to do more movies like this. Im supporting this movie to get the best awards for the different aspects in the movie that has been nominated for and good luck for it.
